I was looking for volunteer opportunity for my 7 year old son who I homeschool and I to participate in together. I reached out to them and they more than welcomed us together. There are so many organizations that don't allow children under the age of 12 to participate in volunteer opportunities. We both participated in the Zoom online training call and then scheduled a time to come in on site to learn how to assist with taking their pups out to play and exercise and work on their commands. They explained how important it is to them to have children working with their pups as a lot of them will be going to aid a child so they need to know 100% that their pups are comfortable and safe to be around children. 4 Paws staff is absolutely amazing to work with. Even as a volunteer, I have understood from the beginning how important our role is in the pups success. I honestly have felt like my son and I are a part of the 4 Paws team/family since the beginning. Such an amazing, compassionate, welcoming team of people and absolutely phenomenal pups to work with.
