Review for Southern States Rescued Rottweilers Inc, White Hall, AR, USA
In April 2019, I adopted a Rottweiler (a happy foster fail) from Southern States Rescued Rottweilers (SSRR). Since then, I’ve fostered four more Rottweilers. I have been involved in pet rescue for over 30 years. My experience spans roles as an admin, marketing, volunteer, and independent rescuer, working with both large and small organizations, including Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. SSRR stands out as one of the most organized and professional rescue groups I’ve encountered. Their dedication to the care and rehabilitation of these dogs is unparalleled. Many of the Rottweilers they rescue arrive with emotional baggage and/or needing medical attention after suffering severe abuse and neglect. Regardless of the challenges, SSRR spares no effort to bring these dogs into their network, providing them with loving foster homes and necessary medical care.
They also go above and beyond to ensure that their fosters, transport volunteers, and adopters are fully equipped to handle the responsibility. SSRR offers excellent education and ongoing support to their fosters and adoptive families, creating a strong foundation for the dogs’ well-being and success.
Review for Renal Support Network, Glendale, CA, USA
RSN's online support groups for people who have kidney disease are the best thing I've found in years. They are so much more than peer support. The diet support group has really helped me sort through and demystify my husband's dietary restrictions. I no longer dread going into to the kitchen to cook for my family or out to eat with my husband. I can now confidently focus on what he can have and even what I thought he couldn't eat. There are so many creative ways to make a delicious meal that my whole family actually likes but is also good for him. I am so thankful that I found the Renal Support Network. We have made many new friends!
Review for Southern States Rescued Rottweilers Inc, White Hall, AR, USA
Southern States Rescued Rottweiler (SSRR) is dedicated to saving the lives of a very misunderstood breed. Rottweilers are rarely adopted out of local shelters and end up euthanized without any attempt to rehome them mostly out of fear of the breed. Also, because of their color. Black dogs are the least likely to be adopted from a shelter. They are cute puppies that are often sold by backyard breeders and they end up in shelters because people don't know how to handle them when they are full grown. SSRR operates in fourteen states (YES, FOURTEEN STATES!) pulling these dogs from shelters, giving them medical treatment, training and carefully screening potential fosters and adopters to ensure they live the best life.
