I started in November of 2011 on the Tuesday morning crew. There were between 15 and 22 volunteers each Tuesday morning. We were dedicated to providing meals for individuals with life threatening illnesses. We became socially engaged and held special dinners at our homes. We have a close bond between us.

2016 became a visual challenge, I lost much of my eyesight, I was so blessed by the wonderful Tuesday Morning crew. They called me with encouragement. I was invited to many homes to enjoy a meal and socialization. It is important when going through the tough times to have the socialization. I took some adjustment time off, but with the help of co-volunteers I returned to PAH. A fine young retired young man Dan graciously came across town to pick me up and we both went off to the kitchen on Tuesday mornings. Joann, a treasure in our group is the delight of baking a birthday cake for each and everyone of us during the year.

I felt that it was an emotional reward to be able to be involved once again. I know and everyone else knows I am not what I was prior to 2016, but I have a purpose and joy to get up in the morning. Project Angel Heart and the co-volunteers have made me laugh once again. The journey of life can be rough and tough. Organizations like PAH provide the awareness that there is the humanity, the love and the rewards for each of us on this ride around the sun.
