Review for Aids Project Of The East Bay, Oakland, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

AIDS Project of the East Bay is an organization that serves folks living with HIV and AIDS in Alameda County. Serving one of the most diverse populations in the Country APEB often reaches into the margins to serve folks that do not feel comfortable at other organizations. What is most striking to me is that they are compassionate and engaged and treat all of their clients (who they call guests) like millionaires.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have watched as clients progressed and grew into self sufficiency and returned as volunteers and staff!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give everyone a fat raise!!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The feeling of love and compassion from every member of their organizations. I've seen the ED come out of his office to talk to a client that was having a difficult time and the program director help a young teen with a resume. They really care!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very caring, helpful and professional.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Really do all the work that I know they want to do.

Ways to make it better...

They obviously could do more if they had more money.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The economy

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love APEB.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
