Review for Foundation for His Ministry, San Clemente, CA, USA
My name is David Lejbowicz and I began to travel to the mission in Baja California back in 97’ I was invited to go through the Valley Vineyard church, based in Reseda California.
When I saw the mission that first time, I was deeply impacted with the care, love and devotion that the children who lived at the orphanage were given unconditionally. Healing many of those children who came from terrible abuse showing them true love.
Here was this oasis of peace and tranquillity in (a the time) no more than a dusty small town about 200 miles from the U.S border.
I learned about how the children were being cared for from cradle to college (for those who desired a further education) as well as giving the opportunity to attend a bible institute based at the mission. Many of those children have since become professionals in many fields, as well as missionaries with many returning to the villages they had come from to share God’s love, the same love that had brought healing and hope to their own lives.
I saw how the mission not only took care of the children, but served the poor with free medical care, food , clothing, and teaching women who were illiterate how to read.
This were only a few of the free services offered to anyone who needed help.
Many of the missionaries were volunteers, who willingly served in any capacity that was needed. I remember in one of the many trips that my family and I had taken, meeting a volunteer from the U.S, he was busy fixing irons and power tools and learning that in his “other life” had been a navy pilot stationed in an aircraft carrier! Yet he too had been touched deeply and had returned to volunteer his time.
That initial “casual” trip way back then, began a series of trips with the express desire to be of service to the poor.
And now, twenty years on, I lead medical professionals to the most needy communities in the mountains of Oaxaca, working alongside the local missionaries at the FFHM mission in Oaxaca. That first trip literally changed my life and I cannot think of anything better that has filled me with such satisfaction.
God is very much at work using FFHM to serve the needy. This ministry is “the real deal”
