The Leide’s are my hero’s. We have been neighbors and friends for years. When they adopted Ashlyn, we were so very excited for them. And when Ashlyn was sick and passed away, we were, and still are grieving.
Most of us would have locked ourselves away to mourn. But not this family. They took over a non profit to help other families who’s children are hospitalized!
They deliver snacks and care packages to the hospital. Yes the same hospital sweet Ashlyn where passed away.
I could not be more proud of how Heather, Eric and their 3 boys have handled their grief. Service to others is how they grieve.
I am in awe of how much they have done. And they now have expanded their outreach to another hospital.
Since Ashlyn passed away, this family has helped more families than most. They didn’t shut themselves off. They did the opposite.
That is why they are my hero’s!
