Review for Phoenix Women's Chorus, Phoenix, AZ, USA
This is a chorale that has come into its own as a member of the Phoenix Performing Arts community. It is a diverse group that believes its mission is relevant to today's awareness of civil rights, and the needs of women, especially lesbians. Arizona Women in Tune provides a safe place and a common bond in music for those who have been pushed aside because of their orientation. There are many testimonies of women of all ages and backgrounds who were silent, but have "found their voice" through being a part of AZWIT. Dr. Lucik Aprahamian is a talented, motivated young woman who is going to help AZWIT make great new strides in the coming seasons.
