Review for Keystone Elk Country Alliance, Benezette, PA, USA
We brought a large group of 12th grade Environmental Science Students up to Benezette on September 20th. So many, in fact, that we had to bring two buses to get them all there. The KECA staff did a magnificent job of accommodating the large group and designing activities that kept students of all ability-levels engaged. The visitor center is a great place to learn new things any time of the year, but there's nothing like being there in early fall. Many students got to see their first elk and hear bugling right on the visitor center grounds. The staff is great, the kids love this field trip, and we look forward to returning next fall.
Review for Keystone Elk Country Alliance, Benezette, PA, USA
I've been taking my 12th grade Environmental Science students to the Elk Country Visitor's Center for the past five school years. The Keystone Elk Country Alliance staff consistently provide informative and age-appropriate activities for our students. From a teacher's perspective, Ben Porkolab is easy to work with, the topics covered align with state standards, and the balance between learning and fun is perfectly struck. Ben's background in education ensures a cohesive and well-run experience. We just had our students up to Benezette last week(as our district was not approving field trips last fall) and we are already planning on returning in the fall!
