Review for Guitars not Guns, Peachtree City, GA, USA
Many kids today, particularly from minority and economically distressed neighborhoods, are at loose ends after school. Their (often single) parents are not home when they get there, and that tends to lead to bad decisions that can eventually land that child in prison...or worse. Guitars Not Guns gives them an interesting and fun alternative to "hanging out" (and becoming just another name the police have on their radar) that might not be otherwise be available to them: learning to play a musical instrument, and one that is the MOST popular today. Not every child is musically inclined, but many are who don't know it yet. GNG can spark that interest and give them a worthy goal that not only benefits them psychologically, but may even become something they can earn a future living doing, if they devote themselves to it. And it costs them or their family nothing but some after-school time. What could be a better investment in the future?

Standardize the class enrollment period a bit more. Some of my classes allowed kids to join a few weeks after it had begun instead of making them wait for the next 8-week session.
