Review for Ceres Community Project, Sebastopol, CA, USA
When I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer Ceres Community Project really came through for me. I was living off the beaten path in Occidental and had very little support. Cancer treatments were exhausting - to exhausting to shop/cook/clean. Thanks to a nurse, who recommended that I contact the good people at Ceres Community Project, I was able to enjoy the most delicious and healthy meals I could have imagined - made with care. What a remarkable organization which anticipates the struggle of chronically ill people and provides the most fundamental healing balm - healthy food delivered to my door. I will be forever grateful for this heart-centered organization.

I first heard about the Ceres project from a nurse at Sutter Health when I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. I was freaked out and had little support to fight the good fight against cancer. The angels at Ceres Project really came through for me in the months following cancer treatment when I was too tired to shop or cook for myself. The food was delicious and no doubt made with love and consciousness, but it was their kindness and care that I needed most. These compassionate volunteers were the balm I needed for my soul as I faced a long hard road ahead. Support is so key to healing. I had no idea that my angels would be strangers who would provide the nutrition I needed to heal. I am deeply grateful for the service and care they provide. They are a bright light in our community.
