As a Third Grade Teacher at Dassa McKinney Elementary School, I fully recommend other educators reach out to the KECA and check out the programs available for their students. Ben Porkolab recently connected with my class in a live virtual setting to teach my students science content related to the Elk in Pennsylvania. His experience as a teacher shined through, as he kept the students engaged and interested the whole session. The program aligns with state standards and correlated well with our classroom lessons. Along with his virtual meet with us, the center also sent a trunk of artifacts for the students to explore and get a hands on opportunity to learn from. Students, teachers, and administrators loved this presentation! I look forward to working with KECA again in the future!
