My name is Edmond Boah, a third-year student of the University of Ghana pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration. I was privileged to receive the Educational Pathways International Scholarship Award during the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year.
In my first year in the university, life was very hard for me financially because my parents were faced with financial challenges. I was on the verge of dropping out when Educational Pathways International (EPI) came to my aid. The timely financial aid brought a great relief to my family and I because I no longer need to worry about how to pay my academic and residential fees.
There have been a tremendous transformation in my academic, social and moral life since I joined the EPI family. Aside the financial assistance offered me, EPI has impacted my life positively through the numerous meetings and training sessions organized by the Program Director. I have gained knowledge in other aspects of life and I’m optimistic that it will be very relevant to me in the corporate world.
Growing up, I have developed a very strong passion for the Accounting profession. I aspire to become a renowned Accountant in the near future. With this financial support from Educational Pathways International (EPI), I intend to start writing ACCA papers next semester in order to bring my dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant into fruition.
I live in a rural community where farming is the major occupation, since most parents cannot afford university education for their children, most brilliant students are left with no option than to join their parents in farming. I am motivated to defy the odds and give back to my community by providing financial support to these brilliant but needy students in the near future.
I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Educational Pathways International for the timely financial assistance offered me. I do appreciate your efforts and commitment to help brilliant and needy students like me realize their dreams and achieve their academic goals. Once again thank you for your support.
