Review for Life Saver Ministries Inc, N Chelmsford, MA, USA
When I first entered the home provided by Life Saver Ministeries, I felt a warmth. I knew that homeless pregnant and parenting teens lived there and I could sees Christ's love for these young mom's and babies in action. The well trained staff team knew the needs of each teen and their babies. Every detail of their lives was being supported by those who worked and volunteered there. The program is outstanding. These young women are taught everything they need to become independent. Each girl has a customized plan to promote their education, job search, parents skills, life skills, daily planning, financial planning, and medical needs. No where have I seen such joy on the faces of babies for they now have a loving, Christian home in which to grew. I have the privilege of teaching their mom's how to teach them. How to talk, read, play, sing and care for their babies. Many of these mom's never were parented. The environment created at the home enables these moms and babies to have a chance for a new life where they are loved so they can learn.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The teen mom's who have cooed to their babies and the babies have cooed back to them. In the teen mom who finished high school, started college and was ready to care for her child in her own apartment. All who have lived there have felt the love of Jesus.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would keep the program as strong as it currently is.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The joy when a teen encourages her baby to roll over and the thrill the first time her baby does. The chance to make a difference by teaching the moms how the baby's brain develops and how they can help. Seeing the mom's reading to their babies.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
The staff team of director, program director, resident advisory, house manager, financial administrator, caregivers and volunteers work together to provide the best possible home for the residents. The caring and quality of their work is outstanding.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Not fear the long winters when the oils gets low. Build transitional housing which they have the property for but not the funds to build. When the moms are almost ready to go out on their own this would the next home for them under the staff's care.
Ways to make it better...
More funds were available for the transitional housing and the needs to keep the current home going.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Their financial need is a true challenge because of how much they want to accomplish in these teen moms and babies lives.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Giving to this ministry is a win win situation you get to know you have help change lives and the moms and babies are given the opportunity find success.
