Review for Project Hawai'i, Inc., Kea'au, HI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My family was found by these two people who were out walking on the beaches looking for children to help during the Christmas time. They found our family tucked under a bridge and asked if they could bring my son toys. I only had the little one out in the front of my tent, so they didn't know I had a bunch more children. They came back in a few days dressed like elfs and gave my son a few toys, diapers, a bunch of food and a stocking. My other children came out of the tent. These two people were so kind to go and get them gifts too. My older children felt they don't need Christmas because it is too expensive so they were so happy to have these strangers care to bring them gifts.
About a month went by and these two people came back to check on us and brought lunch and mc donalds cards so we could get happy meals. They came again for giving us hygiene and help.
Then Easter came and we weren't at the tent and they still left all kinds of stuff for my children. They gave us burger king cards so we could have meals for about a week. It is so nice to have people out there taking care of us.
I was asked if I could write what this means to us. It is hard to say that much in words. I am so grateful that Cliff and Megin come to us and help. We know we will always have shampoo and soap to keep clean. We know that if we need them they can come anytime. When my children need something for school they are happy to give. This means that I don't have to worry. Something that is hard to put down to tell people. It is a relaxing feeling. I can sleep at night because I know that I will have things for my children even if we are homeless in a tent.
