My Nonprofit Reviews

Michelle
Review for Affinity Health Center, Rock Hill, SC, USA
This is a wonderful organization made up of volunteers who willing support the local community with all aspects of HIV intervention. From free testing to an open pantry, they supply those is need with necessities they may otherwise not be able to afford. They also help the family members and those affected whether it be transportation support, medication or housing suppliments, or even Christmas presents. A truly "hands-on" organization that directly impacts the immediate needs of community members who might otherwise have nowhere else to turn.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
those I have met that have been directly effected by their care and concern.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
continue to expose the local population with their mission and goals. Involve as many people as possible so that awareness it met as to what is needed and what is available to the AIDS community.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the people who have volunteered. They are so thankful for any contributions and involvement from the local community.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
young, caring individuals just starting out in their adult lives, yet mature in their desire to help support those less fortunate than themselves.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
reach out and help so many more people in need in this current environment. I think of how much hope CCC must bring. I imagine making just one day in their lives more hopeful, less strenuous, and free from all the taxing daily needs of normal life.
Ways to make it better...
I could contribute more time and support to help supply their pantry and help with the needs of the community.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
continuing to receive donations and overall support to help the HIV community. As funding becomes less available, more and more patients may become more desperate.
One thing I'd also say is that...
of all the organizations I've come into contact with, CCC has shown the most "hands-on" involvement with the community. I feel this is very, very important. They help to meet the daily needs of HIV victims and what their immediate situation demands.
