Stewardship is critically important to the work of HEART in Kenya. In areas upcountry where HEART works with HIV positive mothers and their children, a daily wage can be as little as fifty cents. Every donation is treated like an offering, a gift that carries a great sense of importance and value, not unlike "the widow's mite." I love how this ministry stays focused on minimizing administrative expense and maximizing dollars to the field where they are most needed and can make the greatest impact in measurable terms that are clearly reported, and wholly accountable and transparent.
