Review for Traveling Players Ensemble Inc, Great Falls, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Traveling Players provided me with profound artistic and personal experiences as a teenager and young adult. The friendships I formed at Traveling Players remain some of the most fulfilling I have ever experienced, and the theatrical training has been unmatched. From the camping portion of TPE, I learned how to adapt, use my resources, and trust other people. I found a connection to nature that I had not experienced previously. The theatrical side of TPE certainly made me a better student at school, but also gave me a window into the power of theatre to transform the participants and audience members. The combination of intense theatrical training and outdoor education is entirely unique and powerful. No other organization I know of achieves what TPE does.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

every part of my life. I am a stronger, more resilient, more resourceful, more fulfilled person as a result of my time at Traveling Players.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

enable Traveling Players to give even more scholarships to students who want to attend but cannot afford to. Running a program like this is expensive and tuition has, so far, had to reflect that. With more money available for scholarships, a wide range of students could benefit from the incredible TPE experience. I would also give Traveling Players its own campus. When using someone else's property, there are greater restrictions placed on TPE. We need our own space in the middle of the woods somewhere!
