Review for Phoenix Women's Chorus, Phoenix, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have sung with Arizona Women in Tune for more than five years now. I am proud to belong to this organization and am very excited at the increased excellence it showcases every year in its performances and involvement with the community. The community created within the chorus is welcoming of all its members and truly cares for everyone involved. Furthermore, the music the chorus creates together is not only beautiful, but engaging and inspiring. The dedication of its director, Lucik Aprahamian, Ph.D., its board of directors, and different committees helps lead the way for the whole organization, and shines a light I am glad to carry every time I sing with them.

Review for Phoenix Women's Chorus, Phoenix, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a member of this organization for about five years now, and I am very pleased and excited with the changes we have experienced this past year. Our new conductor, Lucik Aprahamian, Ph.D., is talented, dedicated, and knowledgeable about the music we perform; her enthusiasm and attention to detail and sound quality are unparalleled. The choir has responded to her challenges with its own dedication and enthusiasm; the results are evident in the quality of the sound, the precision of the diction, and the smiles after rehearsal, which I had not seen in months. I look forward to the path Dr. Aprahamian is clearing for us. It will truly be phenomenal.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My improved outlook of the choir's quality and member participation. I feel more positive and enthusiastic about my role as a choir member.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Add a second rehearsal to our schedule; truly, the next step up on its way to better quality product and improved recognition in the community.

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?

A concert with the male chorus would make us much better musicians.

Introducing me to new friends and taking me out of my shell.

After Dr. Aprahamian became our conductor this past fall, I felt better about my participation in the choir. As a musician, I feel valued and apreciated.
