Review for Art & Creativity for Healing Inc, Laguna Hills, CA, USA
Several years ago I was researching art therapy programs when I came across the wonderful art healing program that Laurie Zagon started and it piqued my curiosity so I flew from Boston out to California to attend a certification workshop. I saw first-hand how effective the carefully guided workshops were and how participants were transformed in a matter of hours. Since then,, I have flown out for yet more training and I have since used what I learned on a regular basis at the elementary school where I teach as well as in my community with cancer support groups, the aged and women and their children at a local crisis center. Laurie and her well-trained staff have inspired me to translate my love of art into a venue to help people to heal. What they have accomplished on the west coast is truly remarkable and sets a good example for the rest of us.

Everytime I run a Zagon-inspired art healing workshop, I am awed by the remarkable results participants report. Recently I ran a program for 20 breast cancer survivors or all ages. It was a humbling and transformative evening with laughter, tears and a great deal of healing.

I would start a similar program on the East Coast!
