Review for Mural Music & Arts Project, East Palo Alto, CA, USA
If MMAP was a tech company, it would be Apple - innovate, cool, powerfully-led (shout out to Sonya, Eug & crew) and most importantly, a life-changing experience. Once you a part of MMAP, you go all-in. I started with the Teen Mural Program, fell in love with the youth, the ideas, the leadership, the artwork and now I commit nearly all of my time and thought to pushing the mission of MMAP forward. This is a worthy cause, a worthy company. MMAP's programs are like Apple's products, if you don't know, you better ask somebody!
P.S. I am now a staff member of MMAP, but didn't have that option on "your role." :)

Watching 25 teenagers articulate the meaning of murals they created using poetry, dance, performance is amazing. Their ideas for imagery is also amazing results. One teen wanted to have an image of a young man in a yoga tree pose, one hand holding the world, his other hand holding up a peace sign. His message: World peace starts with me! Wow! Amazing!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
MMAP needs to be in more cities!
