After spending time volunteering with Free2Luv as a grant writer, I can’t say enough good things about them. Tonya and Kym’s dedication to the young people they serve is inspiring. They work tirelessly to make sure that their programs are the very best they can be—from finding experts to help develop new programs (like EXPRESS IT!) to involving their youth mentors in the creation of workshops and the EXPRESS IT! book--so that they will have the biggest impact on everyone who attends a workshop or concert or embraces their workbook. They are champions of LUV and healing.

And then there’s EXPRESS IT! What an amazing journey of self-discovery and self-compassion this book inspires! It is such a valuable resource to anyone—young or old—who picks it up and sits quietly with its pages. From the soft touch of its cover to the illustrations that are seemingly simple but call forth so much emotion to the prompts that call you to sit down and have an honest and compassionate chat with yourself, this book is a resource that young people will be able to come back to time and time again for comfort. I can’t say enough about the thoughtfulness and care that Free2Luv has put into every page of this book—and, honestly, every program, tweet, empowerment package, and event they create.

Working with Free2Luv has been a dream. They are responsive, thoughtful, caring, and always encouraging. Every interaction is full of positivity and inspiration, and their excitement for their mission comes shining through. I’m thankful every day that Tonya and Kym are in this world, that they give of themselves and their LUV so freely and abundantly, and that they continue to be a resource for young people everywhere looking for light in their darkness.
