My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Narrow Gate Foundation, Williamsport, TN, USA
The community and culture that has been fostered here is very unique. It is an environment that both challenges and nurtures its members in extreme ways. As a student I was humbled, frustrated, angry at times; but in pushing through the relational hardships and the internal conflicts that I faced, I was able to grow and be exalted in my identity in Christ. The staff are not perfect, and they recognize that; but they are all in, and their hearts belong not only to this ministry but to Christ himself. This reality is a huge comfort and advantage to the men they disciple. Without the illusion of perfection, the students can relate to real people who have faced the same struggles of life, who in their short comings point to the grace of God and the work of Christ in their life. The program doesn’t fix you, but it undoubtably instills principles that a man can carry for the rest of his life, and that ultimately transform his life. I can attest to this. As a broken man who was in a low position, confused, sorrowful, God met me at Narrow Gate and filled me with joy and confidence in the hope that only comes with a life submitted to and enriched by the love of Christ.
