After working for the Borgen Project as both a Political Affairs Ambassador and Regional Director for a total of 5 months I can honestly say it was a fun and rewarding experience! Although the entirety of my internship there was during COVID-19 the staff was very helpful in making fundraising, along w/ all the other outreach activities, a smooth and easy process. I enhanced both my communication skills and advocacy skills as well as developed more professional writing skills in regards to the numerous emails and phone meetings required for the internship. It was a very fun and knowledgeable internship that benefited me in my career endeavours as the experience I gained there was unmatchable anywhere else. I felt very supported throughout the internship and it wasn't too easy or too challenging to attain my goals. 10/10 would recommend for anyone needing experience to hit the ground running or for anyone interested in being a part of a supportive non-profit that makes a difference in the world.
