The Charleston Animal Society is maybe the best organization I have come across during my 35 years in Charleston. I have come to greatly respect the people who work there as a labor of LOVE for each and every one of them that I have had the pleasure to meet, during my time as a foster parent. The love they show for each animal and the caring they put forth to any and all who might come by to just look or hopefully adopt an animal from them is amazing. The vets & the vet techs that take care of these animals, no matter the condition coming in is unprecedented, and what ever they are getting paid for their time and great service.... is not enough. Anything I have ever needed from them to help care for any of the fosters I have had over the years, is quickly gotten and always with a smile & thank you from any and all who work there.
The fact that they are a no kill shelter is just the tip of the iceberg to the caring and dedication everyone shows from the administrators to the volunteers. I am honored to do a very small part to help them accomplish the mission and goals they have now and in the future. They work on donations from the public, so anyone who can donate anything, I know is always greatly appreciated.
