Before I begin, I do need to share that I'm a volunteer with WCLRR so my opinion may be just a tad biased. I've volunteered with a few rescues in my past but WCLRR is undoubtedly one of the best! I'm so proud to state when doing home visits that I volunteer with this wonderful Rescue and it makes me feel proud when our applicants tell me that that we're one of the only rescues that actually respond to emails and requests.

On another note...My husband and I adopted our sweet Carter (he's a Chocolate Lab) from WCLRR last May (actually over Memorial Day Weekend). Since we have a young granddaughter, it was extremely important that we have a dog who's perfect with kids. That's our Carter!!! The team at WCLRR was instrumental in allowing us to adopt Carter pointing out how wonderful he was with young children. When we saw his Bio and his pictures on Facebook with his foster family's toddler grandson and Carter laying on a doggy bed, we knew it was going to be the perfect fit. It definitely is!!!

So, whether you want to Volunteer with our wonderful Rescue or adopt, I can honestly tell you, it will be well worth your while.
