Sanctuary One is one of my favorite places. The folks who work there are amazing, the property is beautiful and the animals and garden are of course the main draw. I first visited through a tour when I was in high school and it was such a great experience I decided to intern at the farm during college and have come back to volunteer during breaks whenever possible. The people who are a part of this place care so deeply about the animals, the land and the experience of the community that you definitely won't regret coming out. It is a really special and unique place that serves its mission wonderfully :) My personal favorite activity has always been spending time with the goats, who always say hi on tours, and spending time in the garden which is so full in the spring and summer with flowers, vegetables and herbs. The magical forest is also beautiful and a highlight of tours and a great place to take the dogs for a walk. Visit if you have the chance!
