Review for Wingard Home Ministry, Jackson, MS, USA
The previous review from January 4, 2011, gives a very unfair report of the Wingard Home. The writer neglected to say that she had been late or just not shown up for several required meetings prior to being asked to leave; that she knew about her chores which are a very small price to pay to have a warm place to stay in exchange for room and board.
As a current resident, I feel that I need to set the record straight. Mrs. Charlotte has been very understanding with me and very indulgent of me from running me all over Jackson, holding a bed for me when I could find no place in the Delta where I am from, picking me up from the train station, plus carting me around to various doctor's appointments and job interviews whether she is under the weather or not.
The rules are not difficult to follow and each person is given a list of the rules when they come here to stay. The chores are not difficult; at the very most it takes 45 minutes normally no more than 30 minutes a day to do your assigned chore which is a very small price to pay for a place to live. Charlotte and Roy are very understanding and fair with their enforcement of the rules. There is not a person here who has not messed up once or twice who has not been given another chance by them.
