I found out about Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation several years ago when I met Dena Sherwood at the Curefest event in Washington, D.C. The tireless effort that this organization expends to support a greatly underserved population, children and families tragically impacted by childhood cancer, is a model of compassionate outreach and grace. Whether providing direct, tangible, practical relief and emotional support to families or lobbying our nation’s leaders to raise awareness of the needs of these precious children, Arms Wide Open is at the forefront of the battle for the lives of our children. They are such a huge blessing for so many who are fighting through this unimaginable struggle. Five stars is not enough.
