Access Partnership Hampton Roads – 18 months ago an exceptional Access Partnership volunteer notified me they had a twin size hospital bed available for my father. They got me in touch with the donor and I scheduled pickup with him. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to recognize the donor as a longtime colleague of my fathers. They had worked together for over 20 years - lost touch – now 20 years later they were united simply by a generous heartfelt donation of medical equipment and the efforts of Access Partnership Hampton Roads. Since that day, these two old-timers called each other weekly, pandemic and all, until recently. Last Monday – I became the donor and contacted Access Partnership and another exceptional volunteer collected my information. On Wednesday Access Partnership contacted me and had the contact information for another family in need. That bed was disassembled and is now aiding a very deserving family – all due to the professionalism and support of Access Partnership Hampton Roads.
