I had the pleasure of working with Save the Whales in many different roles off and on for about 5 years and it was one of the most fulfilling and educational experiences that I have been a part of. Save the Whales helped me to not only become more educated and passionate about reaching out to our community members regarding the health of our marine habitat but also our involvement as individuals and responsibilities to keep it safe, clean and healthy.

Save the Whales helped me grow my network of colleagues in the Monterey area to excel in my passion for the marine environment. I was able to gain knowledge about working with the city and county to help the National Marine Sanctuary as well as build leadership, communication and organizational skills to succeed.

Save the Whales gave me and experience that I will forever be grateful for, and skills that will be with me for my entire career. It was a valuable turning point in my educational path.
