I signed up to Matchingdonors website in 2017. By then I was almost on dialysis and in total renal failure. I was 51 years old. Friends and family were testing for me but nothing came to fruition. I was linked to several donors from the web site, and one shining light came thru. I met a man from Alaska. The process of testing took almost 10 months. He flew out to Boston twice. Once for in person testing and 2nd for the transplant. I was on dialysis in the meantime and was hoping that everything would work out, and miraculously it did. April 2018 I received the gift of life. Thank you Matching Donors. There are real life Angels out there & I was very fortunate to find one. It was all possible because I signed up with Matching Donors. I also received personal emails and phone calls from the staff helping me navigate the website and tips for improving my connections.
