If you are a senior, please save yourself the disrespect, humiliation and discrimination and be aware of the age bias that is used at FHS. Horrible. If you are a non-senior, I'm sure this place is just great.

Give sensitivity training to the adoption coordinators.
We apologize that you were not selected to adopt the animal that you applied for and for the negative experience that you had with our organization and adoption process. Our goal is to match our foster animals up with adopters that can give them a forever home. Unfortunately, not every applicant is a match for a specific animal and/or we get several applicants for the same animal. We know not being selected for the specific animal you applied for can be disappointing. We do not adopt on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in our homes with us so we are familiar with habits and behaviors.
