The Borgen Project was my first internship, and it provided me with a great opportunity to pursue my interests while also contributing to an incredibly important global mission. As an editor, I primarily worked with submissions to the blog, revising and formatting posts prior to publication. However, by nature of the organization's mission, I also coordinated a fundraiser, promoted The Borgen Project on social media, and learned how real policy change can be affected by individuals who are willing to contact their Congressmen and Congresswomen. I highly recommend their site to anyone who's interested in learning more about what they can do to combat global poverty!
