My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Association Artisanas United for the Development Atitlan, Houston, TX, USA
Auda is a nonprofit organization that has been working with the indigenous community in Guatemala for over five years. Last year (´08-‘09) the organization started to grow and needed a website to present their projects for receiving volunteers and donations. They asked me if I was able to setup a basic website. In the month of February/March 2009 I worked for Auda on their website and that went really swell. They gave me the freedom to kinda do what I thought was best and corrected me from there on. (just minor suggestions). The content (most important of all) was mostly delivered/prepared for me. My experiences were positive! They are well organized and doing constructive work in Guatemala. More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the community that was able to provide work/income for themselves while the profits of their work directly gets invested back into the community in the form of education for their children.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that if you take initiative, it really gets appreciated and they will give you the freedom to do your work while still helping you out with whatever you need to have provided.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
all very friendly and helpful/capable people working to get the organization forward with a positive energy. A friendly environment to work in.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
make a difference in the lives of so many people by providing them a future in the form of work/income. I think investing in education is just as important since it will give the children the opportunity to develop themselves into the profession they want
Ways to make it better...
the organization had more financial strength do fulfill all the goals they have set without completely relying on volunteers alone.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
handling future growth and administration of their projects.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
