Review for ChildFund International, Richmond, VA, USA
After donating annually, with several gifts throughout the year, for several years running, first they changed their name (to childfund international) -- no big deal to me as it did not appear to affect matters.
Subsequently, they changed their gift policy, from a flat $2.50 charge / gift to a WHOPPING 20% of the gift, claiming expenses, graft, etc.
Very surprising that they hold a hard stance on this matter, and are losing members, at least as far as the postings on other review boards (my review was removed, so I have no idea how many more were removed as well).
20% is an outrage. Goodbye.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
a tax deduction and previously feeling good hearing what progress my child made, before being assigned a different child and having this 20% tax imposed.

Get rid of the 20% surtax!
