Attaining my CVA was an important step in my professional journey as a leader of volunteers. I have increased confidence and credibility. I also have had the opportunity to network and meet other volunteer leaders both in and out of my field. I strongly recommend individuals who are serious about staying in the field of volunteer management to work towards attaining the certification. Now, as a board member, I get to have fun while meeting CVA candidates and providing them information about how to get certified.
