I adopted Abby thru Speak. Abby had lived in abandon home for over a year. She was trapped by a local shelter, then turned over to a rescue. That rescue did not think she was adoptable, because of her fear of people. They released Abby to Speak. After months of work, as her foster home, I could not let her go. It has been 18 months since she was trapped. Today she is doing nose work, rally obedience and dabbling in rodeo dog. Without Speak she wouldn't be enjoying life, and so many people, especially me, would not get to see her flourish. Speak supports their volunteers, and goes beyond for every animal they rescued.
