I have had the pleasure of serving as a volunteer at this agency. They work really hard with the children and I see a difference. The boys at the treatment center work hard to make changes to their behavior. When they first come, they are angry and do not want to engage with people. By the time they have been there for a while, they have more self confidence and are proud of their achievements. I saw a child who had never played guitar and left there playing very well. I saw another child who had never been in Boy Scouts and he left there as a Star scout. I saw another child who entered the 4H program and he left asking for boots and a hat rather than the gang member clothes that he walked in the program with. I cannot describe here the changes that I see but I know that this program works!
