For anyone who needs an internship during college (or even after), I highly recommend this one! The cause is worth it; ending world poverty, the most humanitarian of non profits. If you have a passion for helping those less fortunate, this is the opportunity for you. Writing articles and campaigning makes it just more fun! The managers are gracious, nice and work with your schedule if it is crazy, like mine was!! I was a Borgen Intern while taking 5 classes in college and a full time job, and still had the fun and opportunity to work for the Borgen Project. This proves anyone can subscribe, donate or be a Borgen intern anytime!! As an intern, I learned so much and expanded my knowledge on the world economically, philanthropically, and politically. We may not all become Mother Teresas, but there are ways to start, and one sure way to start is at Borgen. Their mission is vastly similar. As Mother Teresa, my role model, says, “I’m well aware that nothing I do will be more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
