First Nations Development Institute gave us the tools we needed to begin the foundation of the Texas Tribal Buffalo Project. In 2018, I was given a scholarship to attend the Business of Indian Agriculture. This class offered by FNDI gave us the necessary knowledge to write our business plan, including Bison Caretaking, and Agriculture business combined with Native Values.
First Nations Development Institute has since supported our non-profit which was formed not long after taking BOIA, we also successfully applied for a USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher loan. With the support and encouragement from FNDI, look forward to continued success in Native Regenerative Ag, Youth Leadership, and Food Sovereignty.
