I started volunteering with AfS about five years ago, and I am consistently awed by the dedication of their team (staff, board & volunteers) and the impact of their work in transforming children's lives forever. I was honored to officially join the team about a year ago, and even in this difficult year (2020) amidst a pandemic, the org is still having a huge and deeply meaningful impact, training medical teams at partner hospitals around the world remotely/online and remaining ready to get back to providing surgeries for kids as soon as possible.
