My Nonprofit Reviews
Hamilton S.1
Review for Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), Washington, DC, USA
The EESI is one of those small but heavy-hitting non-profits that is focused on engaging stakeholders and policymakers on today's pressing environmental and energy issues. From virtual briefings to its latest report on coastal resiliency, the EESI employs numerous strategies to spread its message and ensure decision-makers are properly informed. I recently interned with the EESI during the fall of 2020 as part of the organization's Access Clean Energy Savings team. Through my internship experience, I saw the behind-the-scenes running of the organization. The EESI's success is the result of the hard work and dedication of its employees. Each member, from the interns to the organization's leadership, believes whole-heartedly in the EESI's mission, and everyone is committed to leaving their mark on the organization's work. I was profoundly impressed with the organization's detailed reports, informative briefings, and interesting articles. But most of all, I was blown away by the quality people who work there. Under the leadership of Dan Bresette and others, the organization has gathered a world-class team of talented individuals. I know the EESI will continue to perform impressive work long into the future because the organization has proven it can adapt and thrive in the changing social, environmental, and economic context in which it operates. I would highly recommend the EESI to anyone interested in engaging and supporting an environmental non-profit.
