Review for QUANTUM LEAP FARM INC, Odessa, FL, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Using Family fun days for veterans to scout new "money making" recruits.
A good war story sells and makes them money!

In the beginning, after attending my 1st veteran's retreat, I wouldn't have hesitated and would have given this organization a 5 star review. On the other hand, I can't and I'll further explain. After attending many veteran's retreats, at least 5; and while working on my own personal Issues from combat, I was approached by the staff and asked to speak at 2 separate fundraiseres, Do interviews with the news, a commercial and so on...all while promoting the veteran's program at the farm and how the funds would be used accordingly; FOR VETERANS.."Absolutely I will, I can help raise money to be able to help as many men and women veterans as possible.", The program seemed on the up and up..Until it wasn't...
We were successful in raising quite a bit of money, however very little if any at all was given back to the veteran population and the veteran program it was intended for. It went unnoticed until a personal friend raised an exact number( no need to specify amount) to be put specifically toward funding the next 3 day combat veterans retreat. Warrior Mission at Ease ( Equine assisted self exploration) was supposed to be the recipient of that money and simply put ,it was not...they [ raised funds] were allocated into the " Barn Maintence" and "farm materials and costs". I completely understand there are costs to running a working farm, I get it; However using alcohol and veteran's at your fundraising events as a monetary gain and then canceling the retreats meant for those that raised the money, us veterans, is disgusting. I was advised by another staff member to be cautious and do my research before I made a large donation ; I urge you to be cautious as well and do your research.
