Review for World Pulse Voices, Portland, OR, USA
I joined World Pulse in 2016 when I just began my advocacy journey in sickle cell awareness. Coming from a country where it is taboo to talk openly about a genetic health condition, I was not sure of what to expect.
My fears were laid to rest with the warmth, encouragement and support I received from World Pulse community. Many didn't know about sickle cell but were still willing to support me raise my voice. Today I am a Digital Ambassador, a Change Maker and story Awardee amongst others. The power of my voice and the belief in what I do continue to grow over the years. It has remained the same safe, non judgemental and inclusive space for women from over 220 countries who continue to login daily to raise their voices. World Pulse is that one organisation you are sure to find them not only talking the talk but also walking it too. A community every woman should belong to and which I am proud to belong.
Review for World Pulse Voices, Portland, OR, USA
When ever I think Inclusion, I think World Pulse. World Pulse is a pace setter in raising women's voices and I mean everyone woman in about 170 countries. Their willingness and eagerness to go above and beyond to make the space a safe, inclusive space for persons with disability not only gave me a yard stick in what I expect from other organisations when it comes to inclusiveness, it helped me get out of my comfort zone and let my voice thunder. This voice has continued to thunder because of World Pulse's positive impact and the amazing feeling of belonging to a loving, global sisterhood they stand for.
I am proud to belong, proud of the relationships I have built and I couldn't trade that for anything. I would without hesitation, recommend World Pulse to every woman looking for a non judgmental and safe space to grow.
