I’m in Gratitude for the work being done here. I have been a director of more then one non-profit and have seen many in my 25 years of working in social services that have not been efficiently managed. This is one of the best I have ever seen. I was blessed to meet some amazing people and was given the chance to just connect, play games and “just be” it is profound and transforming to be in the presence of others who seek connection and are willing to share what they know with you. Listen and you will be the one leaving with a full heart.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Raise the money for them to have their own building.
Role: Volunteer & Connected, listened, showed up to see and be seen. Oh, I cleaned the bathroom and a few odd jobs that were needed. But mostly I learned to play chess and I have a chess game booked for next Sa too. Lucky me! .
