I am writing in support of The MY HERO Project. This nonprofit has been producing an online educational website serving educators and students around the world since 1995. I applaud the mission of MY HERO to use media, art and technology to celebrate the best of humanity. The website's inspiring and curated media library - of stories, art, short films and lesson plans - enriches learning for students of all ages as well, as life learners. Taking part in this global storytelling project helps students understand the many ways each one of us can make a difference in the world. As we face the COVID challenge of distance learning, MY HERO's FREE online library of media provides much needed stories of hope and positive role models to empower our youth - our future heroes.
