Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a recovering alcoholic and doses of mushrooms have helped me to stay sober for over a year now. I have also been diagnosed with bipolar and depression/anxiety, microdosing mushrooms has help to stabilize my mood making it possible to live a content, fulfilling life.
Having nonprofits advocate and teach people the benefits is helpful and important to me.

Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I believe the research and fact based projects MAPS are undertaking are going to be ground breaking in the development of Psychedelic assisted therapies. From addiction, to PTSD, end of life processing, trauma & overall well-being psychedelics are the new wave of the future.
How do I know this? In the 1950’s Souris Valley Mental Health Hospital, in Weyburn Saskatchewan, with doctors Hoffer, Osmond and others treated alcoholics with LSD. Canadian scientists reported a fifty percent success rate in one study, although Hoffer speculated that it was more likely the psychedelic experience of LSD, rather than simulated delirium tremens, that convinced the alcoholics to stop drinking.
I am also an alcoholic in recovery & I can personally can say that the use of psilocybin in mushrooms has taken away my cravings for drinking, helped me see a larger view of my life.
I’ve read & met many people who have successfully recovered from PTSD, addictions, OCD, depression & other mental health issues and lower meds with high side effects without issue. I have also been diagnosed with bipolar depression & couldn’t move out of bed - but mushroom tea helped me be able to get up & on with my day. I believe that psychedelics are the future of mental health & addictions, basically a cure.
