I volunteered with the Maya Traditions Foundation for over a year and was simply honored to join the Board of Directors last year.

What makes Maya Traditions so special is not only their commitment to improving the lives of indigenous Artisan women and their families, but in doing so through celebrating culture and arts. The result is an improvement in the lives of Artisans today and the preservation of traditions for tomorrow.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Maya Traditions has gone beyond the call of duty by working to provide precious supplies to Artisans who face financial strain without tourism and usual business. The staff, as well as volunteers from around the world who support remotely, continue to demonstrate their commitment to making a difference even in time of unprecedented hardship.
