Review for Ecumenical Hunger Program, East Palo Alto, CA, USA
I have donated to and volunteered for EHP for years and am continually impressed by the services the organization provides. Most of clients are low-income working families who simply cannot get by on their salaries. EHP provides food, household goods and clothing in a supportive and kind atmosphere.
During the winter holidays, parents are able to find gifts for their children; on Thanksgiving, groceries are provided. Even on Halloween, local shops and individuals contribute fabulous costumes so that kids can celebrate. Parents-to-be can find layette sets with gently used baby clothes, blankets and other newborn needs. Seniors can find canes, walkers, incontinence supplies. Bedding, kitchen items, furniture - all are available for clients in need.
The staff at EHP care deeply about their work and the end results reflect this. I encourage everyone to become familiar with this local treasure and support it.
