The staff at Rikki’s Refuge are phenomenal when it comes to caring for all of the animals. They are the most dedicated and caring people I have ever known. I’ve been involved with Rikki’s since 2013. I found them because I needed to rehome a duck that belonged to my dying aunt. She had been searching for a sanctuary for two years when I finally stumbled upon Rikki’s Refuge. Her duck, Clinton lived a long, happy and pampered life. He was loved and spoiled rotten by the staff. Clinton passed away last year but I know he had the best life he had ever known while he lived at Rikki’s Refuge. That’s only one short story but I promise you that I can tell you many more! Rikki’s Refuge is heaven on earth for any creature who is blessed enough to live there.

Rikki's Refuge first came to my rescue in 2013 while I was caring for my Aunt Mina who was dying of cancer. She had a duck named Clinton who needed to be placed in a wildlife sanctuary. After two years of searching with no success, she'd given up. I learned of the refuge from a local veterinarian. Rikki's Refuge agreed to adopt Clinton and he is still happy and healthy 7 years later! Rikki's also adopted my aunt's pigeons and worked diligently to be sure the birds were comfortable in their new environment. I have been volunteering with Rikki's Refuge since 2013 and feel like they are my family. I have witnessed their love and devotion to the animals as well as the long hours spent every day of the year regardless of how bad the weather might be. Rikki's Refuge specializes in feral cats and I have been able to relocate one or two colonies there when TNR was not the best solution. It's an amazing sanctuary and they will always have a special place in my heart. I admire the hard work and dedication that all of the staff provide so the animals receive the best possible care! I will always support them!
